Why We Pray For You

Although many are sick in body, there are many others who are emotionally ill and physically exhausted.  Some have problems that only God can solve.  We are compelled to pray for the "whole" person.  Remember, “…the effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.” St. James 5:16

Is any sick among you?  Let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord.  St. James 5:14

I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;
I Timothy 2:1
