In these times everyone needs a friend
Someone who’s always real and true through thick and thin
Someone who will smile and hold your hand
Even someone who sits back encouraging you to take a stand
The LORD has blessed you in many, many, ways
I can’t tell it all because minutes could turn into days
You know when to speak or just when to hold your peace
A true sign of strength that keeps you meek
In my heart I’ve set a place for you
That can’t be erased even if I tried to
All the kisses, smiles, hugs, and tears
Bring memories of joy that’s lasted through the years
You’re a blessed saint inside and out
When others see you walk by their souls can’t help but shout
I can’t describe what I feel when I hear you play
I can only tell you it encourages me day after day
It brings joy to my heart in so many ways
You don’t know how gracefully you make souls rejoice
Playing only as you know how, as If you have a choice
The LORD, GOD Almighty gives you strength from above
